biggest tune on road right now has got to be wonder's remix of "hype hype". the tune was originally done by sticky and featured members of SLK on mic. somehow the tune got signed to ministry of sound and has been re-released with wonder's remix. wonder, if you don't know, is the man responsible for some of 2004's top riddims; "what have you done" ft. kano and "what" (which is the instrumental for "respect me" off dizzee rascal's showtiime album). big big tune, one of the best of the year. takes his trademark icy synths into sprawliing, epic and utterly menacing territory. check it:

(quote: "these lyrics are from like 96-97, the levels were EARLY!") i love how grime MC's cut their teeth as jungle MC's back in the day. luckily for us they dropped drum and bass like a hot potato around the late 90's. (in fact they were probably excluded from getting anywhere in jungle due to the quickly developing mafia-mentality of jungle's movers and shakers.)
